One step beyond
Daric Books is a Gwent-based publisher of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. dating back to 2002. Its two principal authors are Darren Powis and R.W. Finlan. Both have published several co-written titles. Richard has also written his own books, and Darren is currently working on some new solo projects.
Daric Books is presently not accepting outside submissions and publishing projects.

Our Story
The founders of Daric Books, Darren Powis and Richard Finlan are both former journalists, first meeting in 1994 on the Pontypool Free Press. They covered a wide range of stories, some humdrum and routine, and others proved the old adage that truth is stranger than fiction. Sharing the same sense of humour, in 2002 they first published a collection of spoof news stories, and later co-wrote a series of contemporary sci-fi novels set in a fictional South Wales valleys town. Richard has written his own fantasy novels. Darren has published his own novel, darting into the realm of cosmic horror. Both have new projects in development.
